Dr. C. R. Patil
National Teacher Award Recipient and Professor of Pharmacology.
Dr. C. R. Patil is currently serving as a Professor of Pharmacology at the R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Shirpur, Maharashtra. A highly distinguished educator, he is the recipient of the prestigious ‘National Teacher Award-2023’ and ‘Innovator Teacher Award’ conferred by the Government of India.
On the research front, he has been honored with the ‘Young Scientist Award-2016’ from the CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for his significant contributions to research in alternative medicines.
His software, Xcology, was developed in response to the pan-Indian ban on the use of experimental animals in undergraduate teaching. It has bridged a vital gap for students across pharmacy, medical, and paramedical fraternities, allowing them to conduct pharmacology experiments in a sophisticated virtual mode.
His groundbreaking work in animal alternatives has received global acclaim, including the ‘Young Scientist Award’ and ‘The Best Presentation Award’ at the 6th and 7th World Congresses in Tokyo, Japan, and Rome, Italy.
